John Shekleton, MD
Dr. Shekleton has over 21 years of experience practicing gastroenterology, and is board certified in gastroenterolgy and internal medicine. He received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Shekleton completed his residency in internal medicine from St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed a gastroenterolgy fellowship from Tulane University Affiliated Hospitals in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Shekleton is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology. He has special interests in ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, pancreatitis, and also performs endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

Amy Antle, PA-C
Amy Antle, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant with over 14 years experience in Gastroenterology. Ms. Antle is a Kentucky native who received her degree as a Physician Assistant at the University of Kentucky in 1990. She is a member of the Gastroenterology Association of Physician Assistants. Prior to coming to Frankfort she worked at the University of Kentucky Hepatology department and with other gastroenterologists in the Lexington area providing general gastroenterology care. She treats patients ages 18 and up.
